Pinewood Railway August 2015

The weather did not look to good, rain and storms, but for those who attended the rain cleared and the sun came out. Martin has replaced the bottom section of his track after building works which required the removal of the lower section. This had given him the opportunity to replace some of the track bed and wooden walls along the raised section around the loop section returning the trains up to the tunnel and onwards up the garden. With the sun out the numbers increased and the food and drinks that Elizabeth had arranged went down with all and a junior member was well into the running of his train he had bought along with his dad. His dad had some first produced LGB trains and carriages which was an interesting display for G Scale members to look at. The chairman asked if he would be willing to bring these items along to the Kent G Scale big show next year as it would be a good display to have. It was a great day after a bad start we the rain, but that is what the open day is about meeting members and running trains. (written by Jeff Fray)
